Fam Trip 9-13 October 2024

In partnership with the West Sicily Tourist District and the Western Sicily Port System Authority, and with the support of local municipalities, we led a group of cruise industry experts on an itinerary rich in history, culture and – of course – flavour!
The participants had the opportunity to explore the wonders of Porto Empedocle, with unmissable stops such as the Valley of the Temples, the majestic Scala dei Turchi and the evocative Andromeda Theatre. All this, accompanied by a taste of the typical food and wine products of the territory, such as wines and local delicacies.
And that’s not all! The visit to the Port of Trapani, the Selinunte Archaeological Park, the magical Salt Flats of Marsala and the splendid Mangiapane Cave in Custonaci made our tour even more special. Another unforgettable moment? The cooking experience at the Ettore Majorana Centre in Erice, where everyone enjoyed watching the preparation of typical dishes, with fresh and local ingredients.
We ended the trip with a visit to the Pepoli Museum and an exclusive tour of the Cruise Terminal, to discover the opportunities that Western Sicily offers in the world of cruises.
The event was attended by itinerary planners and shorex managers from the main cruise lines, such as Virgin Voyages, Marella, Star Clippers, Orient Express and Princess Cruises, with the aim of increasing the number of cruise ships and passengers in our beautiful region.
