Transparency Tournament
On 19 December 2025, Palermo hosted the Transparency Tournament, an annual event promoted by the Western Sicily Sea Port System Authority (AdSP) and organized by Giuseppe Fabio La Vardera, President of the CRAL of port workers.
The initiative was dedicated to promoting the values of legality, integrity, and responsibility within the institutional and civic context. It represented an important opportunity for discussion and awareness-raising on issues of transparency, corruption prevention, and administrative fairness, involving institutions, stakeholders, and workers from the port system.
The program was structured around several key moments: an in-depth conference focused on transparency and performance issues; a sporting event featuring a five-a-side football tournament aimed at strengthening the sense of belonging among port workers; and charitable and solidarity initiatives.
The day concluded with a convivial dinner at the Palermo Cruise Terminal, hosted by West Sicily Gate, which welcomed participants in a scenic seaside setting, encouraging informal dialogue and sharing in an atmosphere of participation and cohesion, made tangible also through a fundraising initiative.
